What we collect
When you create an account, we store your email address and usage data (number of swaps used). When you create a swap, we store the input content (URL or pasted text), the AI-generated output, and a public slug for sharing. We do not collect or store payment card details — those are handled entirely by Stripe.
How we use your data
Your email is used only for authentication (magic link sign-in) and transactional emails (purchase confirmation). Your swap history is stored so you can review it in "My Swaps." We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose beyond providing the EchoSwap service.
Public swaps
By default, swaps are private. You may choose to share a swap to the community feed — shared swaps are visible to logged-in users. You can manage your sharing preferences on each swap.
AI processing
Your input content is sent to OpenAI's API to generate the counter-perspective. OpenAI's data handling policy applies to this processing. We use GPT-4o-mini and have not opted into OpenAI's training data program, so your content is not used to train future models.
Cookies and sessions
We use Supabase for authentication, which sets a session cookie to keep you logged in. We use Vercel Analytics for privacy-respecting first-party analytics. No advertising cookies or tracking pixels are used.
Data deletion
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing support@nodewright.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days. Note that public swap URLs may remain accessible for a brief period during propagation.

EchoSwap is built and maintained by NodeWright LLC, an independent software studio based in Colorado.
This policy applies to echoswap-app.com and any subdomain. It does not apply to third-party services (Stripe, OpenAI, Supabase) which have their own policies.
